There is more to this project than meets the eye.

The design was inspired by seamed stockings! However, this seam is just pretend.

This project is easy peasy and wonderful for beginning knitters who are ready to try their hand at some color changes.  Its sized for all ages (I want some for me)!  And it definitely makes cute little boys want to hold your hand. (Shown below with Eliot Hoodie)

Think of all the wonderful adorable little outfits that could be accented with a happy striped Unseamed warmer project! They would look cute peeking out from some boots, too. Originally, I knit these to be included as part of the Fancy Ruffles design; once again I used Big Bad Wool Weepaca.  I thought it would look super adorable with the ensemble.  It did, but, on little 1 year old Ceci it was a bit TOO much. Had I knit Fancy Ruffles in one of the larger sizes, I bet I would have stuck with my original plan.  Either way, I definitely suggest you consider working Fancy Ruffles & Unseamed as a set if you want to be most-popular-at-the-baby-shower. Who am I kidding, I think either of the projects alone would do it.

I have never done this kind of pattern giveaway before, but I hope it was a fun surprise! (Please and thanks do not distribute your copy :) its for your eyes only.)

Although I have been working very hard behind the scenes over this past year (primarily on the new book, due to come out in March), I definitely got a bit out of the loop as far as my Tot Toppers patterns go; keeping up with everything was a challenge.  I definitely feel back into the swing of things now & there are so many plans for the coming months. Knitalongs and other fun stuff in the Ravelry group, new patterns galore along with makeovers for some of my oldie-but-goodies (Master Charles just got one today), traveling and teaching and shows.  Speaking of which, I’ll be at Loop in Philadelphia for a trunk show and to teach my Grow-With-Me class on November 8.  I hope to make some new friends!  Sign up to take the class and you will learn loads.

My daughter and I looked for you at SAFF this year, but we could not find you. Wish you had had a booth there. We love your patterns!!!

Thanks so much Jacquie! I was really disappointed not to be able to make it next year. Sorry to have missed you.

Thank you, Kate. I’ve already started knitting for our granddaughter who is due in February–these leg-warmers will be a great addition to her growing collection of hand-knit Tot Topper garments. Love your work! And loved the August KAL.

Such cute legwarmers, for all ages!! Thanks for your generous gift ~~ so appreciated, especially this time of year. I agree that Fancy Ruffles and Unseamed would make an extraordinary baby shower gift.

These are ridiculously cute. My 6-year-old has been really into some leg warmers I knit her last year, so this will be her next pair. And maybe matching pairs for her cousins too!
